During
the council’s August 17 meeting Mayor Paul Mitchell congratulated
everyone for being unopposed. He contributed the lack of opposition
to Alexander citizens being satisfied with the city’s progress during
the past few years.

members serve two-year terms while the city recorder and city
treasurer serve four-year terms. In 2022 the council positions and
the mayors seat will be on the ballot. The mayor serves a four-year
