Alexander council meeting canceled

The April meeting of the Alexander City Council has been canceled by Mayor Paul Mitchell due to the outbreak of the Wuhan virus. The meeting would have been held Monday, April 20.

Mitchell shutdown city hall about three weeks ago after an unnamed individual came to city hall to conduct business. While in the lobby he began couching and sneezing. The building was closed to the public and sanitized. Since then only the bookkeeper has been inside keeping the financial side of city business functioning.

Unless a special meeting is called, the next regular meeting of the Alexander City Council is May 18. Meetings are held at 6:00 PM in the courtroom at city hall. The public is invited to attend.
