City of Alexander meeting Monday; Final vote on budget

The City of Alexander will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 PM on Monday January 25 in city hall. The only known item on the agenda is passage of the budget resolution for 2016.

Mayor Paul Mitchell presented a proposed budget at the December meeting. He said the 2015 budget “Worked so well” he decided to leave it as-is for 2016.

Council members approved the budget, which totals $2,625,669.40. The deadline for passing the resolution is February 1.

The meeting was rescheduled for the fourth Monday due to last week’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Meetings are held in the courtroom in city hall and the public is invited to attend.

  1. The Agenda that went out to all media on January 20, 2016 lists "read Budget Resolution" it was passed last month. It also lists a lawsuit by Patrick Thompson, acting as his own attorney vs. Horace Walters and City of Alexander.
Apologies to Alex if his didn't arrive in a timely manner.
