The Alexander City
Council will consider two ordinances that, if approved, will provide
a retirement plan for all fire department, police department and city
employees. One ordinance will allow the city to join the Arkansas
Local Police and Fire Retirement System, while the other will make
Alexander a member of the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement
System.
Also at the Monday,
June 18 meeting agenda items under New Business include, “Police
cars, street department truck” and “financial requests.” The
meeting will be held at 6 PM in the city hall courtroom. The public
is invited to attend.
