What appeared to be an early morning “Raid” at a home in the
Meadow’s Edge subdivision in Alexander turned out to be more flash
than raid. The Alexander police are reporting it’s K-9 officer was
in a vehicle pursuit of an individual, which ended at his home in the
5000 block of Woodstream Dr. in Meadows Edge. Nearby residents were
awaken in the early morning to the flashing lights of police vehicles
around 4:00 AM Friday (Feb. 3).
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office web page no one has been booked into the detention facility by the Alexander Police Department for this incident. This is a developing story. The Alexandrian will update this story if and when new information becomes available.
UPDATE: The pursuit was on foot, not in vehicles. The suspect is
still in the process of being booked. The Alexander Police are asking
everyone to STOP CALLING.
