Samuel Gregory was appointed as alderman of Ward-3 at the City of Alexander's June 15 meeting. Gregory replaces former Alderman Jack Shoemaker who resigned after moving out of Alexander.

is not Gregory's first time filling a vacancy created by Shoemaker. He was
appointed to fill a vacancy in Ward-3 when Jack Shoemaker resigned in 2012 over
political issues. He then lost to Shoemaker when they both ran in the 2012
election.
Besides
Gregory, there were five other Ward-3 residents who submitted resumes for the
position. They were Harvey C. Howard, Lisa Morgan, Kathy B. Hall, Catherine M.
Nightlinger, and Andrea Bearden.

Like I have said in the past get the facts straight if you are a good editor!!!!
Anyway "GOOD JOB" Council members. Mr. Gregory
will attend meetings and ASK QUESTIONS & DISCUSS
openly in the Council meetings before he makes his decisions.
We need a good vocal, not one sided replacement for Dan Church.
Then the next step will be the resignation of Juanita. Then all the "BRING BACK X-Mayor Mitchell" supporters will be gone from the Council. The City can go forward with business in a dignified way. Maybe the newspapers can find some other City to use to sell print.

Well Peter Burns, how do you know Kathy B. Hall applied for treasurer? For that matter, why would anyone know? Out of the six resumes sent to council members prior to the meeting only one stated the position they wanted to fill; that was Catherine M. Nightlinger applying for alderman. When someone is applying for any position they need to say that at the top of the resume. I hope the mayor knew that and kept it.

The meeting that Sam Gregory was appointed alderman wasn't the June 15 meeting it was July 15. The June meeting was on the 17th. Also as for the Kathy Hall as treasurer, if you were there than when Mayor Hobbs said that 1 person applied for treasurer and that was Kathy Hall. But you weren't there so how could have you known. This crappy site being a tool to info concern citizens of Alexander, how can they know what the truth is when you can't even get your 2nd correction accurate. 3rd time is always a charm!!!!

ReplyDeleteAs for Mr. Gregory asking questions and discussing openly, I hope he adds delays until a reasonable bit of information can cause a sensible decision - NOW THAT WILL BE A FIRST!
My money is on Juanita. You could all take a lesson from her on honesty, integrity, and tenacity.

Your smart remarks about me not knowing the difference between "resigned and Resume" did not make since. Like alot of things you have printed.

ReplyDeleteBill and PB, you talk for the world like the alderman who solicits sexual favors through a lawn mowing business, if it isn't you, it is an honest mischaracterization on my part, because the grammatical delivery is almost identical to his ignorant conversation and hateful attitude. Ask your cohorts, someone will get angry, and you'll know who it is. Unless you have seen the text message going around with his phone number on it.

Paul Mitchell NEVER misused his mayoral power. Yes, I am pro Paul Mitchell, anti Michelle Kidd and her cookie cutter posse, it is my right, and I couldn't care less what your opinion is, or whether you like it or not. Nor do you care what I think, you just like to argue, belittle people and make yourself a pain.
Lastly, as far as Juanita and HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND TENACITY, you'd have to know the Webster definition before you could appreciate it. By the way, this is another hint that likely you do know about the PROPOSITION BY TEXT.
