Saturday’s (July
1) Alexander Farmers Market is open from 8am to 3pm at Alexander City
Park. The park is located on Robert Evans off Highway 111 between
city hall and the Highway 111 bridge.
I was trying to find out what happened to the Farmer's Mkt. I went there early Sat. no one there. I finally found out from Juanita that Dan had gone to get more stock. I sure wish they could find some vendors and get the mkt. going. Would be very nice.
Just Mags, thanks, for endorsing. I hear they need a manager for it that can committ every Saturday. JoAn (Bookkeeper) is doing it for now, but can't be there every Saturday. Interested people should come to the Council Meeting and make themselves known
Paranoia, rattled and misled. Public comment at Council is to the 'chair' not to council members or employees. That's just the way it is. This character is just not an agreeable person. Argues no matter the subject.
As I recall transferring the donated land to the city was an issue when Shirley Johnson was mayor. Something else she didn't take care of. And, she's getting a pension why?
City attorney has been on this for a while, of course if alex.resident wants to take all the process an, headaches and expense, you might make a deal. You are right Alex N. Der, it was a transfer issue. All tied up in legal issues now, might not be the bargain alex.resident thinks it is. Too clouded.
What happened? I was there a little before 9:00 this morning (Saturday) and no one was there.
ReplyDeleteI found out what happened.

DeleteOne is better than none no matter what it is called. At least that is a beginning. :)
DeleteIf alex.resident knows anyone who can improve the farmers market maybe he can spread the word. They can sell more than produce.

DeleteWhere did you get the idea my "wife" posts comments to this blog? Sounds like you're paranoid.

Delete:) I didn't know you thought that. Apology accepted.
DeleteI understand they won't give up and are expanding to include 'flea-market' which opens it up to many more residents. It will grow in time.
